| more to follow ..... Everyone knows that the Jersey Boys Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons are legendary like Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky & Michael Jordan. The list as you know could go on but .... Anyhow the too good to be true rags to riches, & though provoking story of the Four Seasons continues playing in venues worldwide. The theatrical show is absolutely AMAZING & magical!.You will be jumping out of your seat with all the catchy music medley songs that you will recall. EYE -I has seen the show a multitude of times and would like to see it more as it is packed with symbolism & inspiration much like this writer tries to convey to you each and every week. It is a pick yourself up feel good story with Italian flair, As you all know of my love for last names ending in a vowel or pasta and pizza on the menu. The story as you know is about getting knocked down and picking yourself up and getting back in the batters box of life. This column has been writing about that same theme for many years as all you avid loyal readers know. If we can send a message of symbolism or inspiration your way and pick you up then we have accomplished our goal. People either give you weight or they give you wings always remember that. i am here to get you to Tom Petty 'Fly; and to thrive especially in the new year 2025. Many of the color commentaries including the last one a couple weeks ago and that's when the fight started were hilarious and well received. But my mission is to reach you in other ways . So we again revert to our thesis and you can call it Working My Way Back To You-the reader. Well the Southern Yankees couldn't take their eyes off the baseball and sprayed hits all over the field. They upended the talented South Florida Dodgers 12-3 and remain in contention in a very tough over 35 South Florida Baseball League Division.. In a just to good to be true offensive display the Southern Yankees are back in form after some early season stumbles with defense, But after this past Sundays game they might want to call anyone named Sherry before her boyfriends back in town and see if she can come out tonight and celebrate the big bust out game. Oh, what a night that might be!.... Scott Goodwin was masterful on the mound and had 3 hits to boot. Swear to God! But that's another song along with all the others I have tried to sprinkle in here. Yankees welcomed back the iron man Bobby Stallone who was flawless in left field and also stroked the ball sharply. Justin Bartoleta matched Goodwin also & led the Southern Yankees well rounded offense with 3 big hits. In addition Reidy Olivo, Sam Bartoleta, Angel 51 Telemundo and Player/Manager Ray Asmar slapped 2 hits each to keep the line moving. Our next game is this coming Sunday December 15th vs the super tough Boca Mets and their talented squad. Game time is 930 AM at beautiful meticulous Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot and invitation to the big dance coming up next month. In closing always remember that the wheel of life is always turning and soon it will turn in your direction. Pick you battles and when people are throwing shade at you be above it and know karma and the main man upstairs will even the slate. Never wait or hesitate and get in gear before its too late. Cause you may never get another chance . Step up to the window and bet on yourself. You will persevere and accomplish bigger achievements than you ever dreamed of. And when you receive that abundance don't forget to share with those who have been loyal and loving with their time towards you. To all the SFBL players it is a privilege to be able to play semi pro baseball against talented young players such as yourselves. . Never EVER doubt that you have what it takes to succeed ON or OFF the field. Hope you enjoyed the wisdom and message of this weeks soliloquy and that it got you thinking. It is very time consuming especially with everything going on for everybody. But remember it gives me more pleasure to give to you than to receive. Like they say- Chicks dig the long ball... Who loves you pretty baby? So next time you see an 85 MPH fastball barreling down the lane towards the batters box-you take note. Make sure you are singing in your head- Can't take my eyes off you - square the ball up and launch it into the gap! Bye Bye baby! Nothing feels better than that believe me!
