Yankees win!!!
by Miami Yankees (35+ Division)

This was a great game all around—props to both teams for leaving it all on the field. The defense and pitching on both sides was sharp, and there were some big-time offensive plays too. A number of players stepped up and made key contributions that really impacted the outcome. Games like this are what baseball’s all about—competitive, hard-fought, and full of respect. We’re already looking forward to the next meeting!

NIP/TUCK BATTLE TO THE END
by Southern Yankees (35+ Division)

The Southern Yankees stepped up in class against the reigning champion Miami Yankees. The venue was beautiful, meticulous Sabal Pines Park and the game was tighter than many face lifts in Boca Raton. The Southern Yankees & Miami Yankees battled and battled to the end much like the old classic TV drama series Nip/Tuck. You may recall the dark & twisted trials of two colorful plastic surgeons at the McNamara/Troy Plastic Surgery Center in Miami. Ring a bell? The show centered on two doctors ;Sean & Christian who had hilarious problems at home due to being seduced by beautiful woman on a daily basis. Ya, sounds familiar right ? Patients would come in the NIP/TUCK office conference room and consult with the two doctors on what they didn't like about themselves. Your Rockets & butt too small? GET EM DONE, nose rhinoplasty? WHOS PAYING? GET IT DONE. Or perhaps it was as simple as getting the good ol' Muhammad Ali fat lip.LETS DO IT! Even the many killer gifted & beautiful tomatoes who came into the office found SOMETHING they didn't like about themselves. GET IT DONE. The show was very entertaining and cant miss television as each episode had the doctors working on their bodies on and later off the field. Well in a classic nip tuck battle at the ballpark the Southern Yankees and Miami Yankees were neck and neck back and forth up and down thru-out the game. You liked that up and down, back and forth etc analogy this week as it ties in doesn't it? Kind of what's going on daily in the market and in every show of Nip/Tuck. You might want to get nostalgic and check out some of the old episodes when you are in the mood to be totally entertained. W The game started out TIGHT with both pitchers dominating the action. The Southern Yankees led 2-1 after 5. What a well played game to that point. The Miami Yankees scored two big runs to knot it up 3-3 after 7 in this nip/tuck battle. After 8 it was 4-3 Miami Yankees finally breaking thru with the lead. Bobby Stallone kept the Miami Yankees in check for most of the game in another brilliant performance by the Italian stallion. In the top of the ninth miscues and some timely hits certainly helped their cause as they tacked on 4 more runs to make it 8-3 . The talented and resilient 35 division champions specifically took advantage of some sloppy Yankees defense in the final frame. Dropped pop ups, fly balls in the wind and other throwing miscalculations doomed the Yankees defense. They say chicks dig the long ball but with a strong wind blowing in -both teams had potential bombs flare out at the warning track. The Southern Yankees kept battling and scored 2 in the bottom of the ninth to make it closer than many of the faces in Miami and Boca. The final was 8-5 Miami Yankees and respect was garnered by both squads after the contest. The Southern Yankees only managed 6 hits and left 10 men on base. Luis Sanchez led the Southern Yankees with 2 hits and was robbed twice by stellar highlight play by the Miami Yankees right fielder. Hats off to all the Miami Yankees especially ' stay thirsty' veteran George Kenyan who slapped 4 big hits to lead the Miami Yankees to the win. The Southern Yankees take on the tough second place Boca Mets who are right on the Yankees tail and will be formidable. Wrapping this all up and taking the stiches out here is more for you the reader to absorb. Again as we always pontificate and preach to you the reader to get back in the batters box of life and take your own CUTS . Bobby Stallone once again pitched a great game keeping most of the hitters off balance but didn't get the help he needed from his offense.
