| MORE TO FOLLOW ......My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed. I turned to her and said 'Do you want to have Sex?' No she answered. I then replied 'Is that your final answer?' She didnt even look at me this time simply saying Yes . So I said Then I'd like to phone a friend' And that's when the fight started.... With the powers that be trying to mess the transition up before January 20th and talks of more bird flu etc here's another...... I took my wife to a restaurant and the waiter for some reason took my order first. I'll have the NY strip medium plus please, I politely told the waiter. He said Aren't you worried about Mad Cow? I replied Nah, she can order for herself. And that's when the fight started.......My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She said 'I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds', I bought her a bathroom scale... and that's when the fight started. Oh by the way the Southern Yankees and 8 time champion Dade Nationals met at historic and nostalgic Flamingo Park in Miami Beach. Yes that historic old park where Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig once roamed the fields in their baseball barnstorming tour. The game was tight early as the score was 2-1 Yankees after 4 innings. In the fifth and sixth innings the Southern Yankees added more runs to lead 6-1. In the bottom of the sixth the Dade Nationals scored 4
big runs to make it a 6-5 game going into the 7th inning. Again the game was getting typical of previous clashes with the two veteran teams. Since we are speaking about the 7th inning it’s time to stretch and continue with the humor as all of us try and make it to the end of the year intact. Here's another during the break- I rear ended a car this morning and it was the start of a really bad day. The driver got out of the other car and he was a DWARF!!! He looked up at me and said I'm NOT Happy! So I said 'Well which one ARE you then? And that's when the fight started.... Getting back to the game the Yankees answered with 4 runs of their own in the 7th inning and led 10-5. And that's how it ended. Scott Goodwin was superb on the mound changing speeds and keeping the ball on the ground. The Yankees defense was quite crisp especially in the infield where Luis Sanchez was a dust-buster at third base. Mike Drath and Reidy Olivo smacked 3 hits each to lead the Southern Yankees who broke out their snazzy black jerseys for this contest. Jose Fermin and Sam Bartoleta stroked 2 hits each to balance the offense. We play the much improved and super talented Boca Mets this Sunday Nov 24th at Sabal Pines Park with game time at 12;45 pm. So- in closing....After retiring I went to the social Security office to apply for benefits and start collecting my SS. The woman administrator behind the counter asked me for my drivers license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman I was very sorry but would have to go back home to retrieve my wallet and ID. I also said then I would return to the Social Security Administration office within the hour. She said Unbutton your shirt , so I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said that silver hair is proof enough for me and she processed my application. When I got home i excitedly told my wife about what happened at the Social Security office. She said 'You should have dropped you pants , then you might have gotten disability too!'... And that's when the fight started.... Look its been awhile since we have done one of these color commentaries and with the neocons now promoting a war with Russia I once again will remind you this. Never wait or hesitate, get in gear before its too late cause you may never get another chance. Lets promote peace and lets stay out of fights as the humorous theme of this color commentary all ties it in together. Live your life and throw the book out the window. Spend that money & Pursue what interests you. And don't ever think that you don't have what it takes because you do. The wheel of life is always turning and soon it will turn in your direction. So stay focused ,alert and nimble and give more that you receive. Hats off to the Dade Nationals as Josue Basterra and Albee Robles led the Nationals team with 2 hits each. A well played game by both teams and hopefully we will be lucky enough to see you later on in the season in the playoffs if it is scripted that way.
