| BLUES PITCHER DOMINATES |

| Today was pitcher day. The Brewers pitcher Sean kept the Blues bats quiet with a mix of breaking balls on the black. All the Blues could manage was 8 hits but 3 came in the 4th inning. Billy Zoffinger knocked in Brian Nentwig with a line drive double in the right center field gap for the only run scored in the game. Blues pitcher William Dorsey dominated the Brewers hitters. He gave up only 6 hits while striking out 9 for the complete game shut out. A very rare score in SFBL. Two of those hits led off the top of the 9th inning for the Brewers. It was 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. We decided to load the bases to make a force at home and leave the double play option open. The next 2 Brewer hitters popped up and struck out for the Blues win. Always fun playing the Brewers. The playoffs now begin and the Blues are hoping for their 3rd Fall Championship in a row. Good Luck to everyone. |
