| In their inaugural season the Dade Tigers finish the regular season at 10-2 and look to have locked up the number 2 seed for the playoffs. The Tigers finished the regular season strong by adding two more home runs to make their total a league leading 14. Tigers pitchers Alain Hernandez and Michelle Ruiz pitched a combined 7 innings striking out 6, while only walking two and gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. Though the stronger finish belongs to Tigers Catcher Danger Villalobos who in his last four games went 11 for 16 with 11 RBI's, 3 home runs, and 2 doubles…way to finish Villa! The Tigers will now have two weeks off before their first post season game which will most likely be against the defending champion Broward Black Sox. Tigers beat the Black Sox both times they faced them this season but both games hard fought battles with the Tigers winning their first meeting 6-3, and the second 4-3. |
