Tigers Win! |
by Dade Tigers (35+ Division)
|
The Tigers exploded for 8 hits and 6 runs in the top of the 1st and never looked back. Jorge Castellanos really set the tempo at the lead off spot by going 4-5 which set the table for the Tigers 2 thru 7 hitters. Tigers 2 thru 7 went a combined 18 for 26 with 5 doubles and 11 runs. The biggest contributor in that bunch was Tigers catcher Danger Villalobos who broke out of slump by going 4-4 with 2 doubles, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Other notable performances for the Tigers: Rene Orovio 2-5 with 2 2B, 2R, RBI. Angel Estevez 2-5 with 3RBI, 2R, 1SB. Garvi Arias 4-5 with 2R, RBI. Duane Medina 2-3 with 2R, RBI. Eddy Castellanos 1-4 with 3RBI. And Jonathan Silva 3-4 with 2 doubles. The Rangers are a good team that had some timely miscues which the Tigers were able to convert into runs. Nonetheless it was a fun game against a great group of guys! We look forward to the next time we meet up. Also, on behalf of the Masters division All Stars I would like to give a special thanks to Rangers Manager Felipe Florentino who took the time out of his day to come manage the All Star team last sunday, he did a great job…thank you!

Rangers Falter Again |
by Miramar Rangers (35+ Division)
|
The Rangers can't seem to get it together on the field, many errors again contibuted to this loss. On a positive note we saw Albert Gonzalez get his swing back with a couple of hits and the warrior behind the plate Miguel Adrian who had a 3-3 day at the plate off good Tiger pitching.Congrats to the Tigers on a well played game, the Tigers are a team to watch this season they are strong and hungry. |
