| Finally got the first game in. It was a patchwork collection of Red Sox and more than a few us playing together for the first time. Kudos to Anton Bellamy, who led off the game with the Magic City Red Sox first ever hit. Anton would go 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored, a walk and an SB. Thanks to Omar and Beau Jackson, who lead the pitching staff despite not having pitched for 9 and 15 years respectively. Big contribution from Alex, who's right field blast triple. Special thanks to Jay for his catching and on-field leadership. Yanks played a good game and were very patient taking pitches to the end. The outfielders stole the show with difficult catches all game by both sides. |
