| The Tigers 2,3, & 4 hitters got on base a total of 15 times in this one but they still only managed to score 7 runs. Nationals pitching settled down after the 3rd not allowing a run in the last 5 innings played. But the Nationals bats could not get going against the Tigers pitchers and the 7 runs seemed to be enough for the win.
