| The Palm Beach Angels of Coconut Creek (representing Greater Fort Lauderdale) clinched the Master's Division regular season pennant with a 9-4 win over the Broward Black Sox.
Rick Cabello tossed five solid innings to earn the win, and Alvaro Gomez pitched four scoreless innings of relief to earn a save.
Claude Love, Jose Morales, Keith Nicoll, Jesus Rivera,and Mike Fields led a 13 hit assault with two hits each. Love drove in three runs.
After a week off for the holiday weekend, the Halos will close out the regular season as they began it, with a game at Cypress Bay against the Florida Yankees. |
