| Tigers get 2nd win of the season beating Cards 10-5. Threat of rain would hang over most of the game and would finally unload on the field, shortening a good game against the expansion Cardinals. Ray Sanabria would start and get the win, going all 5, allowing only 3 earned, while striking out 4. Ray is starting to get back into form and had his offspeed stuff working, while his battery mate, Sneider Melendez would call a great game behind the plate. Offensively the Tigers would be carried by the return of Batman aka Adam S. and Mr. Anderson aka Andy Botett. Adam would go 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Andy would go 2 for 3 on the day, with 3 RBI's. Good to have Mr Anderson back knocking in runs for the Tigers. Good luck on the rest of the season for the Cardinals. They have a good young team and will no doubt be a force for seasons to come. Tigers now keeping fingers crossed that they can play 2 weeks in a row without a rainout!! |
