RUN FOR THE ROSES ANNUAL COLOR COMMENTARY
by Southern Yankees (35+ Division)

AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME WEEK. more to follow. The Southern Yankees stepped up in class in a big game against the undefeated Broward Marlins. The Yankees & Marlins battled and battled just like their previous clash earlier in the season and much like the old classic TV drama series Nip/Tuck. You may recall the dark & twisted trials of two colorful plastic surgeons at the McNamara/Troy Plastic Surgery Center in Miami. You must go back and binge watch a few episodes when you are locked down and believe me you will be laughing and amazed. And get educated. The show centered on two doctors Sean & Christian who had problems at home due to being seduced by beautiful woman on a daily basis. Ya, sounds familiar right ? Happens all the time doesn't it? Keep dreaming. Patients would come in the NIP/TUCK office conference room and consult with the two doctors on what they didn't like about themselves. Rockets & butt too small lets make them bigger. Nose rhinoplasty or getting the good ol' Mohamad Ali fat lip? Ya, los labios es muy bonita! . . The show was very entertaining and can't miss television as each episode had the doctors working on patient bodies on and later off the field. Well this years Kentucky Derby also looks to be nip tuck just like many of the Southern Yankees/Broward Marlins games have been over the years and the 11-10 game the two teams previously played with the Marlins winning in the last inning. This Saturdays Run For The Roses Kentucky Derby also is forecast by this writer to be neck and neck back and forth up and down thru-out the race. You liked that up and down back and forth etc analogy this week as it ties in with the whole Nip Tuck theme doesn't it? Lets keep it clean and hopefully the horses are not wired with juice either. Again as we always pontificate and preach to you the reader to get back in the batters box of life and take your cuts and 20 horses many costing millions will take their shot in the greatest two minutes of sports. So in keeping with tradition as in past years; this writer has an opinion that you just may want to consider. You can call it hold your horses advice, something to consider or simply a suggestion. Now here's my take on this Saturdays upcoming Kentucky Derby race. With 20 or so mostly lightly raced horses anything can happen .Most have unlimited upside potential because they are so lightly raced. There have been bombs away in many previous Derby results but with this year and everything upside down that isn't likely. Look for more favorites and chalk to be there on your ticket and at the finish line. Expect Dornoch & Fierceness along with Track Phantom to break early out of the gate and set the pace entering the first turn. SIERRA LEONE in the 2 hole will take back and save ground along the rail. That strategy should set up for a late run past many horses as they turn for home towards the finish. He is a closer and expect him to execute that script we have laid out. Fierceness is in post 17s 0 for 44 funk and you know how much we like Reggie and the hard 8 as do you so we will see how that plays out. Fierceness is also bred out of Stay Thirsty and you know how we always close the color commentary so that may translate into a symbolistic sign. # 17 should be at or in the lead at the top of the stretch with Catching Freedom, Stronghold, Resilience and Just A Touch in the area code. Forever Young is an intriguing Japanese horse who just won a big race in DUBAI. He also should be in the commentators call but will fade fast and likely end up mid-pack. Out of the clouds Sierra Leone will come flying late and blitz by everyone . His previous trips in races have been unfriendly and he had to go very wide but still won the races. in the end at the finish line look for SIERRA LEONE to get the gold with Fierceness, Catching Freedom AND Just a Touch to be in the mix getting the ticket. I have my opinion as just stated but remember the horses have all the answers in the races outcome. Hopefully you step up to the window, send it in and collect many more disposable dead presidents to add to your wallet that weren't in there when you started. Hey what do I know, its your turn to be spot on and perhaps catch a bomb on the ticket. So GOOD LUCK WHATEVER YOU DECIDE. OH by the way the Yankees played a baseball game and upended the Marlins 18-8 in an un characteristic non nip tuck result. THE Marlins started the game with 3 quick runs in the top of the first as they peppered the ball all over the outfield. The Yankees came back with 2 in the bottom of the inning to respond. The Marlins ace pitcher had a migraine and was off form for the first time ever. He hit 4 Southern Yankees batters and had to exit the mound by rule. The defense of the Marlins also gave the Yankees extra outs and we have been on the other side of that in games previously. So it was a throw out game for the Marlins and 100% sure they will be not play this way when they face whoever they face in the playoffs. Chicks dig the long ball and DELVIN Pascual delivered much to the delight of his large fan base in the stands watching. Marlins slugger and gentlemen Juan Motime also crushed a long home run for his team in defeat. Steve Sandman led the Southern Yankees well balanced attack with 3 hits. He also boomed a long triple way over the center fielders head in the clean up slot. Bobby Stallone and Eric Judd shut down the potent Marlins lineup as for once the Yankees team held them under a dozen runs. A nice win for the Yankees who needed it to be eligible for the playoffs and an invitation to play for all the marbles. Hats off to the multi talented Marlins and again congrats on being the top number one seed. Now for some inspiration and your weekly message here goes.
